Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for our ICU. You will perform vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, follow care plans, and participate in ongoing education and safety initiatives.

The role requires a Maryland CNA license, CNA program completion, and BLS. Weekend rotation and night shifts are included with a 36-hour work week and shift differential eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and successful completion of the CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Effective English communication (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to lift, bend and turn.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plan as established and delegated by RN.
• Receive report from RN and ensure safety and proper equipment handling.
• Participate in education programs, meetings and committees.
• Maintain professional image and adapt to change.
• Care delivery and equipment maintenance.
