Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech III to join the nursing support team in a fast-paced hospital setting in Worcester, MA. You will assist with patient care, telemetry, and procedures under licensed supervision, particularly on night shifts.

The role requires BLS, English proficiency, and prior PCT II or acute care experience. Join a large health system focused on compassionate care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated competency at PCT II level or 1 year of acute care/hospital experience or 1 year of EMT/Paramedic experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Computer skills for clinical and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under licensed clinician supervision.
• Monitor high-risk patients and report changes to RN.
• Maintain safe environment and de-escalate when needed.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output.
• Perform telemetric, EKGs, POC testing, bladder scanning as trained.
