Job summary

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Patient Care Assistant II for the ICU at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. This part-time role focuses on bedside support and assisting the ICU nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has a CNA or PCT in-state certification, 1 year of nursing assistant or PCA experience (or 6 months with certification), and BLS within 30 days of hire. Benefits are provided per policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or PCA experience and certification.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience as noted above.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist ICU nurses with bedside care and routine patient support.
• Provide patient mobility, hygiene, feeding assistance as directed by the nursing team.
• Support documentation and communication within the ICU care team.
