Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Intensive Care Medicine service. The PA will provide direct patient care in inpatient ICU, with prescriptive authority and credentialing as an independent provider under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include rounding, admissions, and discharges, with a focus on high-acuity care. Eligible candidates may have 1 year of Critical Care/Acute Care experience; new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Grad of an accredited PA program.
• Current Texas PA license.
• NCCPA certification.
• ACLS and BLS certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and mental condition of patients and take histories.
• Order, collect, interpret labs and other tests.
• Prescribe medications and perform procedures per approved protocols.
