Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health invites a Nurse Practitioner to join our Critical Care/Inpatient ICU team in Texas. The role emphasizes high-acuity care with collaborative physician support and an autonomous practice style.

Expect rounds, patient evaluations, hospital/ED consults, and perioperative care. New graduates are welcome; a strong foundation in critical care and a commitment to excellent patient outcomes are valued.

Qualifications

• Texas RN licensure (or compact privilege) and Texas APRN certification.
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Less than 1 year of experience in acute/critical care preferred, new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on inpatients and evaluating new and established patients.
• Manage hospital and ED consults, pre- and post-operative care.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans; order/interpret labs and tests.
• Provide patient and family counseling on care processes and medications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate admissions/discharges.
