Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead a team of ICU nurses and drive staff development across the Medical ICU. The ideal candidate has extensive ICU nursing experience and a passion for education and mentoring of nursing staff.

The role partners with unit leadership to enhance clinical practice, patient safety, and continuous learning. Must demonstrate strong communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Education, or related healthcare field.
• Active RN licensure in Massachusetts.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or preferred.
• Experience in teaching or clinical education is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff development and educational activities for ICU nursing staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to define nursing standards and educational needs.
• Promote safety, quality, and patient experience through education and practice improvements.
• Participate in interviews, orientation, and regulatory competency activities.
