Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Nurse Educator for our Medical ICU. The role leads a team of nurses, designs and delivers staff education, and partners with unit leaders to advance patient care quality. ICU experience and teaching skills are essential.

The position emphasizes education, safety, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high clinical standards and staff development. A RN license in MA and active certifications are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year as clinical preceptor or charge nurse.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff development and education in the ICU.
• Collaborate with the unit leadership to define nursing standards and educational needs.
• Support safety, quality improvement, and infection control initiatives.
