Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in San Marcos, TX, seeks (RN) for night shift in inpatient care. You will provide routine and complex nursing care, coordinate with physicians, and support patient education and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate has a BSN preferred, BLS certified, and at least 1 year of related RN experience. This full-time, 7 PM–7 AM role offers a stable schedule in a top regional hospital with a focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

Nursing process knowledge: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
Ability to educate patients, families and/or caregivers and identify learning needs and resources.
New nurses orientation and competency validation are required for onboarding.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice.
Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Educates patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
