Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care/ICU setting on a 7PM-7AM shift. The role emphasizes independent practice, nursing process, and high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), with 1 year of CCU experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications. RN license in NM (or compact) is required for employment. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth within CHRISTUS Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required
• BLS required
• RN License in state of employment or compact

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
