Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels in New Braunfels, TX seeks a registered nurse for 7PM-7AM shifts. The role requires delivering comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting and adhering to established care pathways.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), an RN license in the state or a compact state, and BLS certification. Prior critical care or related specialty experience is preferred, with ongoing competency validations and professional development

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families as appropriate.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies learning needs and resources.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
