Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos is seeking a competent nurse who can work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting, providing routine and complex care with attention to patient and family needs.

The role requires a BSN preferred, at least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty, and an active RN license in the state. BLS is required; ACLS training within the designated timeframes and ongoing competency validation are expected.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in state of employment or compact.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within the specified grace periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care.
• Educate patients and families; document history, symptoms and care.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor effects.
