Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU on a PRN basis. The role entails delivering direct, high-quality patient care during night shifts using the nursing process and maintaining patient privacy.

Requirements include an active state RN license, BLS, ACLS within hire window, and experience in acute care; CCRN and BSN preferred. Assignment is 12 weeks with competitive compensation and staffing flexibility.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in ICU.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise teaching for patient/family.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians.
• Respond quickly to deterioration and monitor hemodynamics.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
