Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Clarksville is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time night shift in the Intensive Care Unit. You will provide high-level nursing care for critically ill patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role includes night shifts (6:45p-6:45a), a 12-week orientation for nurses with at least one year of ICU experience, and exposure to a broad range of cardiovascular and respiratory conditions in a 21-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with at least one year ICU experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, ECG interpretation certifications.
• Orientation provided (12 weeks) based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient\'s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient\'s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
