Job summary

Vanderbilt Clarksville Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is seeking an experienced RN for full-time night shifts. Responsible for planning, organizing and administering patient care within ICU scope, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective outcomes in line with hospital policies and the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act.

Unit cares for critical cardiovascular/respiratory conditions with specialized equipment; orientation is provided, and the staff works in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• RN with Tennessee license and current practice privileges.
• ACLS/BLS certifications required; NIH/EKG interpretation a plus.
• Orientation program available for nurses with at least one year of experience; 12 weeks indicated.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the plan of care and coordinates delivery across the continuum.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses and care needs.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health and a safe environment for patients and families.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
