Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Clarksville, TN, is hiring for a full-time RN in the Intensive Care Unit on the night shift (36 hours/week, 6:45p–6:45a). A new night differential up to $10/hour enhances earnings for this demanding role in a 21-bed mixed medical/surgical adult ICU.

The ICU team includes intensivists, APNs, respiratory therapists, and case managers. Orientation is provided, with 12 weeks based on experience.

Qualifications

• Nurses assess and evaluate patients in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Provide patient education to patients and families.
• Plan and coordinate care, prioritize tasks, and manage patient care delivery within the unit.
• Apply evidence-based nutrition practices in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
