Responsibilities

• Performs unit-based reception, clerical, medical record and patient registration functions.
• Sets priorities and handles emergency situations calmly.
• Serves as liaison between patient care units and other departments.
• Manages overall unit workflow with the charge RN and/or manager.
• Provides information and timely updates to patients and customers.
• Uses organizational resources efficiently and communicates with staff and families.
