Job summary

Aurora Health (now part of Advocate Health) WI Resource Team supports ICU care across Wisconsin. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need.

Requires RN license, approved nursing program, BLS certification and ACLS where needed, with a minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience. Weekend rotations (4/6 weeks) and 2 holidays annually are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Active RN license in practice state.
• BLS certification; ACLS as required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care for patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Promote safety culture and teamwork across shifts.
• Document accurately in EHR and ensure timely updates.
• May float to other units to meet care needs.
