Job summary

Advocate Health, Inc. is seeking a Float Registered Nurse to support ICU care across multiple hospitals and units within the Wisconsin division. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality care in diverse settings.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patient conditions, maintaining safety, documenting in electronic health records, and collaborating with the care team. The position may float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• Active RN license in the practicing state
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• Holiday requirement: 2 holidays per year

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care improvements
• Applies the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team
• Maintains a culture of safety and accurate EHR documentation
• May float to other units within the service area to meet patient needs
• Demonstrates effective communication and professional development
