Job summary

Advocate Health, in collaboration with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, seeks an experienced ICU RN for the ICU Float Pool. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple critical care units with a focus on safety and collaboration.

Requirements include RN licensure and at least 2 years ICU experience; BSN is preferred. Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts, 7a–7p, with weekend rotation; pays $38.20–$57.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a registered nurse license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
• May administer medications and therapies according to protocols.
• Communicates effectively and supports delegation within the team.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains required certifications.
