Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support ICU service lines, floating between CVICU, SICU, and MICU while caring for critically ill patients and adapting to staffing needs.

You will participate in holistic assessments, implement care per the nursing process and ANA model, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families; adherence to hospital policies is required.

Qualifications

• RN must hold an Ohio nursing license; BSN required within 5 years for hires after Jan 2010.
• BLS certification is required prior to patient contact; ACLS within 6 months in ICU areas.
• Experience in caring for critically ill patients and ability to float between ICU environments.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing process and patient/family-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Float between ICU environments to care for critically ill patients.
• Complete holistic assessment and plan of care with SBAR handoffs.
• Provide ongoing patient and family education and support; collaborate with the team.
• Maintain safety and infection control; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
