Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support our ICU service lines and care for critically ill patients. You may float among CVICU, SICU, and MICU and assist other units as needed, applying evidence-based nursing practices.

Ideal candidates have ICU experience, a current OH RN license, and strong collaboration skills to work across units. This role emphasizes patient outcomes, safety, and interdisciplinary teamwork in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for critically ill patients in ICU settings.
• Comfortable floating between multiple ICU environments.
• Ohio RN license required; BLS and ACLS preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and follow hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic nursing assessments and develop/modify care plans.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and communicate with the care team.
• Verify orders and coordinate handoffs using SBAR framework.
• Respond to emergencies with prompt, precise actions to maintain patient safety.
• Educate patients and families and provide ongoing support and discharge planning.
