Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's West Penn Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the ICU Float Pool, covering critical care and pediatrics in a 16-bed unit. This role includes a $7/hour allowance per West Penn CBA and requires flexibility across departments.

Qualifications

• 2 years acute care nursing experience in ICU.
• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification preferred.
• NIH Stroke certification preferred.
• Act 34/33/73 background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served.
• Directs and manages activities of the patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
