Highmark Health’s Allegheny Health Network seeks an experienced RN for the Float Pool in the Critical Care (ICU) at West Penn Hospital. The role covers adult and pediatric ICU patients, with a 16-bed unit and a $7/hour allowance per West Penn CBA.

The nurse will be fully accountable for nursing care quality and must balance scheduling within the Float Pool. Minimum 2 years ICU experience, PA RN license (or eNLC), ACLS/PALS, and CPR certification are required; additional certifications and

Formación

• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience required in ICU.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR – American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS certifications (CPR certification).
• NIH Stroke certification preferred.
• Act 34/Act 33/Act 73 FBI fingerprinting background clearance certificates.
• Criminal background clearances per hospital policy.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning for the patient.
• Provides safe and effective care for the specified age population according to regulatory requirements.
• Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.
