Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse for the West Penn Hospital Float Pool in Progressive Care. The role covers multiple units with varying acuity and responsibilities, including critical aspects of patient-focused care across departments.

You will provide skilled nursing, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in safety and quality initiatives. A minimum of 2 years acute care experience is required, with PA RN licensure or eNLC; ACLS/CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience required.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• ACLS and CPR certifications preferred.
• Act 34/33/73 background clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• This RN provides leadership in professional practice and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.
• Assigns tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels; supports charge roles.
• Promotes patient safety and participates in quality initiatives.
• Performs nursing assessment, care planning, and documentation.
