Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support our ICU service lines. You will float between CVICU, SICU, and MICU, caring for critically ill patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will have ICU experience, Ohio RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS within six months of hire is required for ICU areas. The role emphasizes safe, evidence-based care and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Ohio required.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• Experience caring for critically ill patients and floating between ICU environments.
• Ability to float between multiple ICU environments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic nursing assessment of patients’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and education needs.
• Report abnormal data and changes in patient condition to physician and charge RN.
• Communicate plan of care using SBAR and handoffs with the team.
• Establish priorities of care and participate in care conferences.
• Initiate discharge planning and referrals as appropriate.
• Provide ongoing patient and family education aligned with the care plan.
