Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support ICU service lines, floating between CVICU, SICU, and MICU with high-acuity patient care.

Responsibilities include holistic nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with SBAR communication, documentation, and active participation in professional development. BLS and ACLS in required timelines; state RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
• BSN required within 5 years for new hires; ADN or diploma acceptable based on hire date.
• ACLS within 6 months for step-down/ICU areas; BLS required prior to patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Complete safe, evidence-based care with appropriate safety measures and timely documentation.
• Communicate plans and changes via SBAR; participate in handoffs and care conferences.
• Lead and participate in professional development, performance improvement initiatives, and team education.
• Maintain unit competency, participate in attendance and policy compliance.
