Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support ICU service lines. The successful candidate will have experience caring for critically ill patients and be comfortable floating between multiple ICU environments (CVICU, SICU, MICU).

RNs may be asked to support other areas across the hospital as staffing needs require. This role emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered care within the Ohio nursing scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas.
• BSN within five years of hire for most nurses; MSN or DNP not required but supersede BSN.

Responsibilities

• Support ICU service lines by floating between CVICU, SICU and MICU as needed.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care per The Christ Hospital model and ANA guidelines.
• Utilize SBAR for handoffs and communicate changes in patient condition to the team.
• Provide age-appropriate and culturally competent care; participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain documentation in the EMR; adhere to policies, safety protocols and infection control.
