Job summary

Harborview Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the ICU/ED. This part-time position is 35 hours per week with an evening shift, offering opportunities to contribute to critical care pharmacotherapy and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• State of Washington Pharmacist license is required.
• One year of experience in hospital pharmacy practice required.
• Residency training in ASHP-accredited program may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate drug therapy and nutrition including indications, dosing, interactions and allergies.
• Evaluate pharmacotherapeutic regimens for effectiveness and adverse events, and intervene as needed.
• Communicate pharmacotherapeutic recommendations using medical records and documentation systems.
• Provide drug information and education to medical teams, nursing and dietitian staff.
• Provide patient counseling and education.
• Facilitate efficient medication delivery and scheduling; maintain procedures to improve distribution and administration accuracy.
