Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to support the CVICU (8 beds) and ICU (22 beds). You will join a team of 10 NPs with 3 shifts weekly and be responsible for comprehensive patient care, from admission through follow-up, under the Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.

AGACNP required; ICU RN background preferred; strong critical care skills including arterial/central lines; schedule is 3x12s with every other weekend; credentialing typically

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas or Acute Care NP Program approved by the State of Texas if trauma.
• Two (2) years clinical nursing experience in Critical Care or ICU setting.
• Licenses/Certifications: Texas RN license and NP certifications as detailed in job posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Perform advanced critical care procedures as outlined (arterial/central lines, intubations, thoracentesis).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to update guidelines and improve patient outcomes.
