Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Pasadena, TX seeks a Nurse Practitioner to support a CVICU (8 beds) and an ICU (22 beds). The role includes comprehensive patient care, order management, and rounds with the ICU team.

AGACNP is required (FNP not accepted). Experienced ICU NPs are preferred; new grads with strong ICU RN backgrounds will be considered. Credentialing takes 2–3 months after hire, with a 3x12 schedule and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas or Acute Care NP Program for Trauma practice.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP or equivalent certifications are required.
• ATLS certification if trauma area is chosen within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up within the ICU/CVICU teams.
• Performs advanced procedures and supports interdisciplinary rounds with Attending Physicians.
• Manages inpatient care plans, documentation, and orders per policy and state requirements.
• Mentors and precepts staff and participates in performance improvement activities.
