Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the CVICU and ICU teams. You will provide comprehensive patient care, perform assessments, manage acute cases, and collaborate with intensivists and nursing staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has ICU experience and Texas NP credentials, with 5+ years in critical care preferred; a strong background in trauma care is a plus. Weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas.
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas if area of practice is Trauma.
• Current Texas nursing license and NP certification.
• Experience in critical care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Obtains medical histories; performs physical exams; reviews tests; formulates treatment plan.
• Collaborates to update guidelines/protocols; signs orders in accordance with policy and state board requirements.
• Educates patients and families; participates in process improvement and multidisciplinary outcomes.
• Ensures safe care and adherence to Memorial Hermann policies within budget and resources.
• Supports professional growth, serves as preceptor and mentor to staff.
• Models Memorial Hermann's service standards by delivering compassionate, personalized care.
