Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a 0.9 FTE CNA for the 3rd shift with weekend and holiday rotation. The role involves providing basic patient care under RN supervision, with emphasis on safety, dignity, and holistic care. Requires Nurse Aide registration and BLS within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry where pracitices; BLS certification within 45 days.
• High school diploma or GED/HSED requirement.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic, quality patient-focused care under RN supervision per state standards.
• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Measures and documents vitals, intake/output, weights, and other data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations and needs to the RN.
• Participates in admission/transfer/discharge activities and room setup.
• Remains compliant with infection prevention and safety policies.
