Job summary

Qualifications

• Three to five years of nursing care in a hospital.
• Develops work skills through in-services and formal educational programs.
• Attends staff meetings and in-services; mentors others.
• Analytical decision making with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and patient-appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to subordinates to meet departmental objectives and Saint Anne's Hospital goals.
• Collaborate with Nursing Leadership Team to formulate, implement and monitor goals.
• Oversee daily unit operations and coordinate departmental workflow for safe, efficient care.
• Lead Performance Improvement initiatives and assess staff education needs.
• Interface with patients and families to ensure care aligns with expectations.
• Manage hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with Directors.
• Ensure budget and resource efficiency in partnership with the Director.
