WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a patient care associate to support direct patient care during night shifts in Morgantown. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with registered nurses to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role involves transporting patients, supporting respiratory care, and maintaining a clean, safe environment, with opportunities for professional growth in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in direct patient care by providing basic physical care under RN direction.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bed making.
• Safely transport patients and escorts for tests, procedures, and discharge.
• Perform routine tests (glucose, urine/stool) and maintain quality control logs.
• Perform routine phlebotomy services as directed by management.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as required, per policy.
• Provide respiratory support and proper setup for oxygen administration.
• Communicate patient concerns to the RN promptly.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians and RNs.
