Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant/EMT to support patient care across units. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, feeding, and monitoring patients under RN supervision; collecting specimens; and ensuring safety and accurate documentation.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, EMT or PCA experience, and current BLS certification. The role offers full-time hours, a 36-hour week, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA BLS certification required; CNA preferred or Capital Health UAP training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient hygiene and daily living activities under RN supervision.
• Assist with feeding and nutrition monitoring; document intake/output.
• Collect specimens (stool, urine, sputum) and monitor vital signs as directed.
• Maintain safe patient environment and proper equipment handling.
• Document observations and report to RN promptly.
