Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. is recruiting a patient care assistant/EMT-ready role in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will provide safety-focused care, assist nurses, monitor patients, and support routine tasks across shifts.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and BLS; EMT or PCA experience in acute care is preferred. The role offers a 40-hour week with a competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• One year EMT/military medic/PCA in acute care or two clinical nursing semesters.
• AHA BLS certification; CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide for patient safety and assist with basic nursing tasks under RN supervision.
• Take accurate vital signs, monitor patient conditions and record observations.
• Collect specimens and assist with nutrition, meds and routine care as directed.
• Maintain clean, organized unit and report equipment issues promptly.
• Assist with CPR and post-mortem duties as required.
