Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Intensive Care Unit. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, full-time, with a salary range of $21.00–$26.64 per hour. Exempt status is No.

You will provide direct and indirect patient care under nursing staff direction, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and linen changes. Ideal candidates hold Maine CNA certification, BLS, and have healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Maine.
• BLS certification to be obtained prior to caring for patients and kept current.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and staff to maximize patient outcomes.
• Precepts team members to job function.
• Orients patient to hospital environment and routine.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
• Participates in unit quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicates information to oncoming staff at shift change and to RN for follow-up.
• Provides care per patient plan of care.
• Labels and delivers specimens per policy.
• Maintains a safe environment per policy and addresses hazards.
• May perform other duties upon request.
