Job summary

Stantec is seeking an ICT Designer to perform basic technical duties under supervision, focusing on ICT design for backbone and horizontal cabling within mission critical facilities. You will coordinate with workgroups and contribute to client deliverables on schedule.

Responsibilities include site visits, drafting, QA review, and budgeting alignment, with opportunities to grow towards project management. Strong CAD/Bluebeam/Revit skills and an accredited engineering background are required.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years related industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ICT design within Mission Critical Facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Performs duties to assist or act as the project manager as follows: input plans to complete tasks within timeline and budget.
