Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks an Information and Communications Technology Designer to perform basic technical duties under supervision. You will understand project requirements, coordinate production, and deliver designs within your discipline.

Responsibilities include site visits, preparing deliverables, adhering to quality processes, and contributing to professional growth while meeting utilization and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• ,
• Minimum 5 years related industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Performs duties to assist or act as the project manager as follows: input plans to complete tasks within timeline and budget.
• Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews returned work to ensure timely execution.
• Identifies and reports potential roadblocks and competing client and co-worker priorities.
• Develops understanding of Stantec’s accounting and project management systems.
