Job summary

The State of Arkansas is hiring an Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System (ICOTS) Community Supervision Officer to supervise offenders under probation or parole and ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions. Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, psychology, social work, or related field is required.
• Two years of social services, human services, corrections, or law enforcement experience.
• Possess a Valid Driver’s License and be eligible for specialized police officer certification as established by ACA 12-9-106.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a caseload of low- to moderate-risk probationers and parolees, ensuring adherence to supervision requirements.
• Conduct routine office visits, home visits, and employment verifications.
• Develop individualized case plans addressing risks, needs, and goals for rehabilitation.
• Monitor compliance with court-ordered conditions including employment, treatment programs, and community service.
• Perform random drug and alcohol screenings and report results.
• Investigate and document violations of probation or parole conditions.
• Notify law enforcement or courts when necessary for arrests and revocations.
• Coordinate offender supervision with law enforcement, attorneys, treatment providers, and courts.
• Refer individuals to vocational programs, educational services, and mental health resources.
• Maintain accurate records, case notes, and supervision reports.
