Job summary

City of Indianapolis and Marion County is seeking a Community Corrections Officer to supervise residential and electronic monitoring clients and manage case plans under MCCC policies. The role emphasizes IRAS assessments, collaboration with the court, and proactive referrals to services.

The incumbent will testify in court, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with agency and court orders. A valid driver’s license and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Must not have been convicted of a felony.
• Must become certified to conduct IRAS assessments within one year of hire.
• Ability to interview and work with clients to ensure completion of court/agency requirements.
• Knowledge of policies of MCCC, local judicial process, and service providers.
• Ability to effectively communicate with participants and supporters as well as CJ system.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor activities of agency clients while ensuring compliance with court rules and MCCC policies.
• Interview and obtain client information and records appropriately and accurately.
• Conduct Indiana Risk and Needs Assessment (IRAS) on all clients and develop individualized case plans.
• Maintain documentation and client records with accuracy.
• Attend and testify in court and schedule administrative hearings as needed.
• Provide referrals for services in accordance with case plans and document progress.
