Job summary

Rise Baking Company, LLC is hiring a full-time Icing Mixer in York, PA. The role produces cake icing and fillings, follows specifications, and adheres to safety and quality standards.

You will operate mixing equipment, maintain batch records, manage ingredient inventory, and collaborate with the line lead to ensure continuous icing supply.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, basic math and English literacy, and tolerate allergens.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for long periods.
• Lift up to 100 lbs and push/pull heavy objects.
• Overtime up to 40+ hours per week may be required.
• Basic math and literacy skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects mixing equipment for cleanliness and reports deficiencies to supervisor.
• Reviews daily ingredient requirements against standard requirements and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
• Reviews icing inventory for daily use. Update inventory daily.
• Scales ingredients in accordance with pre-determined formulas and procedures; calculates batch requirements and batch size adjustments as directed by supervisor.
• Operates various mixing and metering equipment in accordance with pre-determined procedures.
• Maintains records of batches produced as well as ingredient lot numbers, temperatures, and specific gravities.
• Enters all required information into the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work areas and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain continuous communication with line lead to ensure proper icing supply to the line
• Responsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policies
• Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements.
• Back up for this position is other Icing Mixers and Production Lead.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
