Job summary

North Shore Developmental Centers seeks an experienced ICF Administrator to oversee daily operations of an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/DD) in Illinois. You will ensure active treatment quality, clinical care, and emotional support while maintaining CMS and state compliance.

You will lead the interdisciplinary team, manage budgets, and advocate for residents, families, and staff with a person-centered culture and strong regulatory focus.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license or state-equivalent ICF/DD Administrator certification in Illinois.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in an ICF/DD, residential group home, or specialized healthcare setting.
• Deep understanding of Medicaid regulations, CMS survey processes, and Person-Centered Planning.
• Exceptional crisis management, communication, and budget management skills.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, registry checks, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Direct all facility operations to meet or exceed Department of Health, CMS, and ICF/DD state licensing regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Lead the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to ensure the development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive IPPs.
• Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and retain a high-performing team of DSPs, nurses, and QIDPs.
• Financial Management: Oversee the facility budget, manage labor costs, monitor expenditures, and optimize resource allocation.
• Resident Advocacy: Maintain an environment that protects resident rights, promotes independence, and guarantees a safe, clean, and comfortable home.
• Community Relations: Serve as the primary liaison for families, guardians, state surveyors, and community stakeholders.
