Job summary

Extreme Ice Center in North Carolina is seeking a Full-time Ice Technician and Facility Operations team member to operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment and manage general arena upkeep.

The success candidate will have 3–5 years of ice rink operations experience, knowledge of ice making and maintenance, and strong leadership and communication skills. Night and weekend availability is required; paid time off is provided. Salary range: $45,000–$50,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of ice rink operations experience.
• Working knowledge of ice making and ice maintenance.
• Familiar with edging, flooding, dry cutting, and hockey line repair.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn and teach new skills.
• Flexible schedule; may require nights/weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment.
• Maintain ice surface including edging, flooding, and dry cuts.
• Perform routine maintenance on resurfacing machines.
• Keep maintenance logs for equipment.
• Perform building maintenance tasks.
• Ensure fire and safety compliance.
• Maintain arena cleanliness and supplies.
• Operate forklift and aerial lift.
• Serve as rink Manager On Duty as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
