Job summary

Canlan Sports is seeking an Ice Maintenance Person (non-ticketed) to perform proactive maintenance and ensure timely and safe ice rink upkeep. The role focuses on ice resurfacing, edging, and general facility maintenance, supporting a clean, safe, and well‑maintained venue for our multi-sport complexes.

You will work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, with responsibilities spanning ice depth checks, dasher board refurbishment, arena glass work, janitorial duties, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Experience with ice resurfacing equipment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks per local building and fire codes.
• Operate Ice Resurfacer and Edger.
• Measure ice depth and level the ice.
• Ice painting and dasher board system repair.
• Janitorial duties and floor care per procedures.
• Maintain checklists and safety sign-out records.
