Job summary

Kraken Community Iceplex is seeking a Facility Operator to manage ice maintenance, operate Zamboni and ice edger, and keep the venue clean and safe for patrons. You will work with the Operations team to ensure an optimal ice experience and facility readiness.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license and ability to perform physical tasks are essential; compensation starts at $24/hr with overtime eligibility and

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn maintenance skills.
• Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Ice maintenance: flood, edge, shave/build ice as scheduled; operate Zamboni/ice edger; keep records of ice data.
• Rink maintenance: clean and tidy public areas, install sub-floor as needed, manage waste and cleanliness of restrooms and public spaces.
