Job summary

Canlan Sports is seeking a proactive janitor to perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs.

Qualifications

• Completed high school education or equivalent.
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC) preferred.
• Valid driver's license considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
• Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including:
• Property & grounds cleanup
• Grass cutting and edging
• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to:
• Window cleanliness
• Parking lot & property cleaning checklist
• Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
• Assist with minor maintenance as required
• Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required
