Sports Facilities Management, LLC manages Bergen County's Winter Wonderland at Van Saun Park in Paramus, NJ. The Operations Manager will direct event operations, lead front-line teams, and coordinate with owners and department leaders to ensure seamless event execution.

This role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills to oversee ice arena operations, labor compliance, and vendor relations across the venue during events.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in management, sports management, or related field.
• Proven leadership experience in operations or event management.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees front-line team members to ensure compliance with SFM policies and laws.
• Plan and participate in strategic meetings for events.
• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the ice arena, including ice maintenance and scheduling.
• Ensure quality ice surface, resurfacing, and prompt issue resolution.
• Oversee setup/teardown of events including games, skating sessions and rentals.
• Maintain clear communication with event owners before and after events.
• Manage event organization details with high accuracy and adherence to procedures.
• Assist with labor law compliance and ensure on-site personnel safety.
• Be on-site at events, manage staffing and production logistics.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and build strong working relationships.
• Develop understanding of events in portfolio, their aims and revenue streams.
