The City of Idaho Falls is seeking an Instructor Aide/Ice Guard for the Fall and Winter seasons (Oct 1–Apr 5). The role supports Learn to Skate classes, with 5 to 15 hours per week across evenings and weekends.
You will assist with attendance, demonstrate skills, and help with ice sessions to ensure a positive experience for skaters. Strong skating ability and excellent customer service are essential, along with flexible availability and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

The City of Idaho Falls is accepting applications for positions of Instructor Aide/Ice Guard for the Fall and Winter seasons, October 1st through April 5th. These positions will be responsible for assisting with Learn to Skate classes. It is anticipated that these positions will work 5 to 15 hours per week, multiple evening weekend shifts.
Tasks require variety of physical activities, generally involving muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, lifting, etc. (moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving up to 80 pounds). Talking, hearing and seeing essential to the performance of the job. Daily exposure to weather extremes and seasonal conditions. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity exist. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, discriminating thinking. Frequent local travel required in normal course of job performance.
