Job Description: The City of Idaho Falls is accepting applications for fitness instructors for the Aquatic Center. This position, under close to general supervision, provides entry level support in assisting field and program personnel and/or provide general instruction for fitness classes. Position may include evening hours. Supervision Received Works under the direct guidance and direction of the Manager and Program Coordinator. Supervision Exercised None.

Essential Functions

• Instruct program participants in aquatic fitness routines.
• Other relevant duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Sufficient education and training to demonstrate an ability or aptitude to perform the above and related duties.
• Previous experience and/or involvement in fitness preferred.

Work Environment

• Tasks require a variety of physical activities generally involving muscular strain.
• Physical demands may occur in activities related to walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, running, jumping, etc.
• Talking, hearing and seeing required in the daily performance of job duties.
• Occasional exposure to environmental hazards resulting from working in a recreational environment.

Pay Range: $12.00
